A Train Ridden by Saturn: a Letter on a Locomotive Type Chart
"You can do it like it's a great weight on you, or you can do it like a dance.” – Ram Dass.
Dear Ouroboros Community,
I have so many things I want to do, but when it comes to following through I struggle. My mind is constantly leaping between interests and ideas, and I find it difficult to finish one task before starting another. I'm starting to wonder if it's a form of self-sabotage preventing me from reaching my goals. In the back of my mind, I don't think I can do it, so I let myself lose focus before I have the chance to fail. Do you have any advice on staying consistent and showing up for myself?
Dear I,
I believe you possess a strong drive for success and are craving to put in the effort and perseverance to attain your goals and purpose in life.
As you see, most of your planets are accumulated in one hemisphere of the chart. This concentrated grouping of planets indicates a focused and determined energy channeled toward particular goals or directions in life.
These locomotive-type charts are like trains filled with leadership qualities. You may be striving to ride towards a direction that will fill the rest of your chart, make it whole with a zealous spirit, seeking novel ways to solve possible problems in life.
The first planet in the clockwise direction plays a crucial role in this "train," as it is the planet that drives all the other planets or "coaches" them. Saturn in Pisces in the Eleventh House sets the tone for your chart's formation, themes, and dynamics. He offers a keen imagination and attraction to artistic or creative endeavors requiring structure, organization, and perseverance.
As the last planet in the clockwise direction, Mars in Leo in your Fifth House holds solutions to your blockages. Mars in Leo in the 5th house in retrograde station seems to be a planet that is "going to take you" wherever you are manifesting to arrive, with boldness, self-expression, and risk-taking.
Do you think focusing too much on the structure and limitations rather than your skills is blocking your ability to finish projects? Saturn in Pisces may sometimes give us overly idealistic goals and discipline. Can focusing on "how things should always be." be a reason for your unfinished projects? Isn't vowing to write a perfect book the most prominent writer's block? What about only vowing to write a book? What about committing to writing a chapter? What would change if you attempted to finish every project you started for a week? Let's try.
Your Mars in Leo is like the troubled kid in the classroom who does not want to listen to your Saturnian nature. Saturn is traditional; Mars is rebellious. Saturn likes to limit; Mars wants to break free. They both agree on inviting masculine energy into your life little by little. How?
by practicing being proactive and taking decisive steps toward your goals or desires.
by setting healthy boundaries and saying "no" when necessary.
by engaging in activities that require physical strength.
by practicing assertive communication by expressing your needs, opinion without being overly passive.
by setting a vision, taking charge when necessary
In conjunction with your descendant, your north node suggests openness to different perspectives for reaching your highest self. Being firmly focused on different goals is significant, but being more receptive to other perspectives or input from others may help you overcome blockages in creativity and concretize your projects.
Ram Dass said you could either do it like it's a great weight on you or as a part of the dance.
Nothing is missing in you; you will get there at your own, Saturnian pace. Both sour and sweet.
All my warmth,
From the heart to the wound,
Ipek, Ouroboros Community
